The Prime Minister of Greece says he “wouldn’t rule out” going after US investment banks for their role in creating the spiraling Greek debt crisis.
George Papandreou says a probe must be completed first to examine if the financial sector engaged in “fraud and lack of transparency” as Greece’s debt swelled.
Papandreou also urged more regulation of the markets which, in his view, are now betting against European governments.
